Building with Blocks at the Auroville Kindergarten
by Odile Fouladoux
This book documents years of research on the development of children playing with this simple open-ended material: wooden blocks of specific and proportional dimensions. Observations and recommendations are largely illustrated by photos of unselfconscious young builders and their realizations. The book hopes to promote the use of blocks in kindergartens to support physical, emotional and social skills, language, math, science and art.
